Evans report on behalf of the Swift-XRT team:\n\nWe have analysed 6.3 ks of XRT data for GRB 230628E, from 226 s to 22.6\nks after the BAT trigger. The data are entirely in Photon Counting\n(PC) mode.\n\nThe light curve can be modelled with a power-law decay with a decay\nindex of alpha=0.85 (+/-0.05).\n\nA spectrum formed from the PC mode data can be fitted with an absorbed\npower-law with a photon spectral index of 1.94 (+/-0.18). The\nbest-fitting absorption column is 9.5 (+4.9, -4.3) x 10^20 cm^-2, in\nexcess of the Galactic value of 4.3 x 10^20 cm^-2 (Willingale et al.\n2013). Palmerio (GEPI / Paris Obs.) report on behalf of the STARGATE collaboration:\n We observed the field of GRB 230628E (Salvaggio et al., GCN 34110) with the ESO VLT UT3 (Melipal) equipped with the X-shooter acquisition camera.\n In a single 30 s exposure acquired in the r band, with mid time June 29.0252 UT (2.17 hr after the GRB), we see a new object, very close to the Swift/XRT position, which is not visible in the Pan-STARRS images of this field. Its coordinates (J2000, calibrated against the Gaia catalog, 0.5\" error) are:\n RA = 11:27:23.60\n Dec = -11:27:49.21\n Preliminary photometry (against the Pan-STARRS catalog) yields a magnitude r = 21.2\n We consider this object a strong candidate as the afterglow of GRB 230628E, due to its consistency with the X-ray position and lack of detection in the Pan-STARRS archival images.\n Further observations are in progress. Vadawale (PRL) report on behalf of the AstroSat CZTI collaboration:\n\nAnalysis of AstroSat CZTI data with the CIFT framework (Sharma et al., 2021, JApA, 42, 73) showed the detection of a GRB 230625B which was also detected by CALET (Trig. 1371713313) and Swift/BAT-GUANO (Ronchini et al., GCN Circ. 34084).\n\nThe source was clearly detected in the 20-200 keV energy range. The light curve peaks at 2023-06-25 07:28:57.50 UTC. The measured peak count rate associated with the burst is 279 (+55, -14) counts/s above the background in the combined data of all quadrants, with a total of 9279 (+893, -648) counts. The local mean background count rate was 504 (+3, -5) counts/s. Using cumulative rates, we measure a T90 of 65 (+3, -4) s.\n\nThe source was also clearly detected in the CsI anticoincidence (Veto) detector in the 100-500 keV energy range. The light curve peaks at 2023-06-25 07:28:57.50 UTC. The measured peak count rate associated with the burst is 266 (+80, -19) counts/s above the background in the combined data of all quadrants, with a total of 7354 (+1143, -1181) counts. The local mean background count rate was 1607 (+5, -6) counts/s. We measure a T90 of 70 (+3, -15) s from the cumulative Veto light curve.\n\nWe further report the detection of 2 more bright bursts, with multiple peaks, about 50 s after the first burst reported above had ended. Preliminary analysis shows that these subsequent emission bursts had similar signatures to GRB 230625B and lasted for about 200 s, after which AstroSat entered the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) region. We caution that since AstroSat was close to SAA, these bursts may not be related to GRB 230625B.\n\nCZTI is built by a TIFR-led consortium of institutes across India, including VSSC, URSC, IUCAA, SAC, and PRL. Melandri (INAF-OAB, INAF-OAR), report on behalf of the CIBO collaboration:\n\nWe observed the field of the fast red optical transient ZTF23aaoohpy/AT2023lcr (Swain et al., GCN 34022; Gompertz et al., GCN 34023; Kumar et al., GCN 34025) with the LBC camera mounted on LBT (Mt Graham, AZ, USA) on 2023-06-23 in uâgârâzâ bands at approximately 4:30 UT. A second observation was obtained on 2023-06-26 at 08:30 UT in gârâzâ bands. Both observations were performed under good weather conditions.\n\nWe detect the optical transient in all bands and epochs and we measure the following preliminary AB magnitudes for the first observation:\nrâ= 22.5 +/- 0.1 \ncalibrated against SDSS field stars, and not corrected for the foreground Galactic extinction.\n\nWe acknowledge the excellent support from the LBTO and LBT-INAF staff, particularly D. Bath), A. de Ugarte Postigo (OCA) report on behalf of the STARGATE collaboration:\n\nWe observed the optical afterglow candidate of GRB 230628E (Malesani et al. GCN 34118) with the ESO VLT UT3 (Melipal) equipped with the X-shooter spectrograph.\nSpectroscopy was carried out, covering the wavelength range 3000-21000 AA, and consisting of 4 exposures of 600 s each. "message_text": "The LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the Virgo Collaboration, and the\nKAGRA Collaboration report:\n\nWe identified the compact binary merger candidate S230630am during\nreal-time processing of data from LIGO Hanford Observatory (H1) and\nLIGO Livingston Observatory (L1) at 2023-06-30 12:58:06.902 UTC (GPS\ntime: 1372165104.902). The candidate was found by the CWB [1], MBTA\n[2], and GstLAL [3] analysis pipelines.\n\nS230630am is an event of interest because its false alarm rate, as\nestimated by the online analysis, is 2.4e-08 Hz, or about one in 1\nyear, 3 months. The event's properties can be found at this URL:\n\nhttps://gracedb.ligo.org/superevents/S230630am\n\nThe classification of the GW signal, in order of descending\nprobability, is BBH (98%), Terrestrial (2%), NSBH (<1%), or BNS (<1%).\n\nAssuming the candidate is astrophysical in origin, the probability\nthat the lighter compact object is consistent with a neutron star mass\n(HasNS) is <1%. [4] Using the masses and spins inferred from the\nsignal, the probability of matter outside the final compact object\n(HasRemnant) is <1%. [4] Both HasNS and HasRemnant consider the\nsupport of several neutron star equations of state. The probability\nthat either of the binary components lies between 3 and 5 solar masses\n(HasMassgap) is 4%.\n\nTwo sky maps are available at this time and can be retrieved from the\nGraceDB event page:\n * bayestar.multiorder.fits,1, an initial localization generated by\nBAYESTAR [5], distributed via GCN notice about 32 seconds after the\ncandidate event time.\n * bayestar.multiorder.fits,2, an initial localization generated by\nBAYESTAR [5], distributed via GCN notice about 5 minutes after the\ncandidate event time.\n\nThe preferred sky map at this time is bayestar.multiorder.fits,2. For\nthe bayestar.multiorder.fits,2 sky map, the 90% credible region is\n3642 deg2. Perley (LJMU) report on behalf of a larger collaboration:\n\nIn an observation beginning at 03:35 on 29 June UT, we observed the location of the extragalactic fast optical transient AT2023lcr (Swain et al. GCN Circ. 34022; Fulton et al. GCN Circ. 34042) using the Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array (ALMA) in Band 3 (100 GHz) under excellent weather conditions. A counterpart was detected with a preliminary peak flux density of 0.17 mJy, at high significance (10-sigma).\n\nData were obtained under Program ID 2022.A.00025.T. "message_text": "The LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the Virgo Collaboration, and the\nKAGRA Collaboration report:\n\nWe identified the compact binary merger candidate S230630bq during\nreal-time processing of data from LIGO Hanford Observatory (H1) and\nLIGO Livingston Observatory (L1) at 2023-06-30 23:45:32.407 UTC (GPS\ntime: 1372203950.407). The candidate was found by the MBTA [1], GstLAL\n[2], PyCBC Live [3], and SPIIR [4] analysis pipelines.\n\nS230630bq is an event of interest because its false alarm rate, as\nestimated by the online analysis, is 7.7e-09 Hz, or about one in 4\nyears. The event's properties can be found at this URL:\n\nhttps://gracedb.ligo.org/superevents/S230630bq\n\nThe classification of the GW signal, in order of descending\nprobability, is BBH (97%), Terrestrial (3%), NSBH (<1%), or BNS (<1%).\n\nAssuming the candidate is astrophysical in origin, the probability\nthat the lighter compact object is consistent with a neutron star mass\n(HasNS) is <1%. [5] Using the masses and spins inferred from the\nsignal, the probability of matter outside the final compact object\n(HasRemnant) is <1%. [5] Both HasNS and HasRemnant consider the\nsupport of several neutron star equations of state. The probability\nthat either of the binary components lies between 3 and 5 solar masses\n(HasMassgap) is 8%.\n\nTwo sky maps are available at this time and can be retrieved from the\nGraceDB event page:\n * bayestar.multiorder.fits,1, an initial localization generated by\nBAYESTAR [6], distributed via GCN notice about 33 seconds after the\ncandidate event time.\n * bayestar.multiorder.fits,2, an initial localization generated by\nBAYESTAR [6], distributed via GCN notice about 5 minutes after the\ncandidate event time.\n\nThe preferred sky map at this time is bayestar.multiorder.fits,2. "message_text": "Gayathri Raman (PSU), Samuele Ronchini (PSU), Aaron Tohuvavohu (U Toronto), James DeLaunay (U Alabama), Jamie A. Kennea (PSU), Tyler Parsotan (NASA GSFC) report:\n\nSwift/BAT was observing 99.2% of the GW localization probability (Bilby.multiorder.fits,0) at merger time.\nThe entirety of the GW 90% credible region is contained inside the coded FoV.\n\nThe LVK notice, distributed in near real-time, triggered the Swift Mission Operations Center operated Gamma-ray Urgent Archiver for Novel Opportunities (GUANO; Tohuvavohu et al. 2020, ApJ, 900, 1).\n\nUpon trigger by this notice, GUANO sent a command to the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) to save 200 seconds of BAT event-mode data from [-50,+150] seconds around the time of the burst. All the requested event mode data was delivered to the ground.\n\nUsing the NITRATES analysis (DeLaunay + Tohuvavohu 2022, ApJ, 941, 169), we searched for emission on 8 timescales from 0.128s to 16.384s in the interval [-20,+20] seconds around the merger time.
